Melbourne Narrative Therapy with Hamilton Kennedy
I offer Narrative Therapy, counselling and support to people that takes a compassionate approach to the challenges of life.
Narrative therapy is a respectful, collaborative approach that sees people as separate from their problems. Together, we can look at the influence of problems and alternatives to these that highlight your values, hopes and desires. Narrative therapy is creative, non-judgmental, non-pathological and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life.
I intend to make this as affordable and accessible as possible for people. Each session lasts for 55 minutes and costs $100. I am happy to have a brief free chat beforehand to see what would be useful for us to discuss. No referrals are required and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

About me
Hamilton is a Melbourne based social worker and therapist who has experience working in mental health and community services. Their work is informed by their education, research and their own experiences.
They have worked closely with many people who have been diagnosed with mental illnesses and those experiencing the challenges of life.
Hamilton has expertise in working with people with disabilities, people from different cultural backgrounds, first nations people, queer people and sex workers.
They also been involved in researching alternatives to policing, reducing harm in mental health services, and the phenomena of delusions.
They have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work (University of Sydney) and a Masters Degree in Narrative Therapy and Community Work (University of Melbourne). Soon they will have completed their PhD at La Trobe University.
